Trainer and User Guides
SmartOutline trainer guides are scenario-based, step-by-step procedures, with trainer tips and links to online learning which can be pointed out during class to assist users and reassure them that there is revision and reference material after the class. They link the online learning with the workshops and so provide a genuinely blended approach. SmartGuide user handouts have exercises students can refer to in class or review when they are back at their desks. They also provide the links to the online learning for revision and reference. Quick References are both searchable and printable. Each Quick Reference has a link to associated online learning to augment training. Links to both the quick references and online learning can be e-mailed directly to a user from the Resource Gateway.
Our skills-building evaluation tools provide a positive, non–threatening alternative to traditional assessments. They are in alignment with the LTC4™ Core Competencies and can be used to certify users have reached the required LTC4™ skill levels. We have two scenario-based evaluation tools that allow you to quickly check the relevant skills: KnowledgeChecks and LiA. Each can be run in any Learning Management System. Click the tabs below to learn more about each tool.
Our Learning-in-Action (LiA) tool allows you to check skills in the live applications, using multiple methods, addressing the many ways that users might approach a task. It also works across multiple applications. You can evaluate the users performance by score and/or by time taken. We have a library of pre-built LTC4 aligned LiA Checks. Our easy-to- use designer allows you to build your own multiple method LiA Checks.
KnowledgeChecks are simulated scored exercises that provide everything you need to meet the LTC4™ certification skills-checking requirements. They can also be used to spot-check skills and are especially useful for pre-rollout training when the new environment is not yet available. KnowledgeChecks are short, task-based and are the perfect companion to the online courseware.
